As many of you have heard, I have decided to make a major change at Trackside. For over 16 years, Trackside has been know as one of the major carpet race tracks in the USA. Through these years, we have watch the interest of on road racing grow to heights we could never have imagined and unfortunately over the past 2+ years have watched it continue to decrease in popularity around Milwaukee to where we were only getting a few drivers on race night.
So with this current situation, I had to make a decision that will affect everyone at Trackside. I have decided to change the Carpet track to a Dirt off road track. As I know this will disappoint many of the on road racers, but it was a decision that I had to make to ensure the success and growth of Trackside. This Sunday June 13th will be our final Carpet race and I hope we will have a great turnout for racing to help us bring to an end an era of great racing and prepare for the next era we will begin and that is of our new off road track. With this change to the front track being dirt, I have decided to keep the current track in the back dirt also and this will be configured into a banked oval and we will have oval racing weekly on Thursday nights. This change to dirt oval will not happen until after the front track is complete, so Off Road racing WILL continue on Thursday and Friday nights until things are complete.
We will begin changing things starting on Monday June 14th, our goal is to have everything complete and be up and running by August 1st. We have updated our rules section of the website to ensure everyone has the rules needed for our new off road track. Rules and classes for the dirt oval will be forth coming.
